Recent Trips

In August 2007, not long after the floods, we went to Hampton Bishop (near the "Bunch Of Carrots" pub and drew a beautiful cottage.  From this we worked on some drawings , sketches , pen and wash and watercolour paintings.

As we enjoyed this so much, we decided in October to go on a painting day to Brockhampton (National Trust).  We arrived in the crisp morning, and found some lovely views of the buildings. As the day was quite chilly we finished at lunchtime and adjourned to the cafe for a much needed hot soup and drink.

Art & Calligraphy Group

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 10:30 a.m in the Ryefield Centre.

A small but dedicated group enjoy each others' company and encouragement to improve their artistic skills. It is gratifying to see how we all improve.  There's plenty of space for new members to come as established artists or for those who would like to try their hand for the first time. Much work is being completed for our first Arts and Crafts exhibition to take place at the Dennis Potter room at Ross library from 6th to 13th May 2008.
