

This last year has been super, all down to Eileen's expertise. In spite of dreadful weather the group has visited some beautiful places at the times for sighting particular birds. With Eileen's help, less knowledgeable members have been able to name and learn about the birds seen.
At Hampton Bishop, fieldfare, redwing, grey heron and goosander were spotted; at Slimbridge there were waders, ducks and numerous wetland birds; beautiful mandarin ducks were evident at Nagshead Nature Reserve in the forest; red kites were being fed at Gilfach; Newport's RSPB Reserve produced cormorants and little egrets, while nearer home at Upton there were snipe, lapwings and woodpeckers. Too many lovely birds have been seen to name in full, and anybody who would wish to share the joy of bird watching is most welcome to join the group.

We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month
