YOUR COMMITTEE 2008/09

Your Committee are the people who form the governing body of our organisation. As we are a charity, they also act as trustees. Trustees are responsible for controlling the management and administration of the charity. They serve as volunteers, and receive no payment (other than to repay out-of-pocket expenses incurred). They work together as a team and have collective responsibility for the organisation.

Being a committee member can be hard work, but is also very rewarding. Having an influence on the development of our own University of the Third Age, watching it become more diverse and popular is reward enough.

Our regular monthly committee meeting is held on the Wednesday afternoon prior to our Monday general meeting.
