Although the weather in 2007 was very restrictive, we managed to visit Painswick Rococo Gardens for the snowdrops. It was a cold but enjoyable day and it was even possible to squeeze into the cafe for lunch. In March, after a stop at Hereford Wyevale for lunch and to buy plug plants for tubs and hanging baskets, a look at the Weir Gardens rounded off the day.
A sunny afternoon at Lydney Park provided and excellent chance to see the spectacular
rhododendrons -
We are now ploughing through the 'Yellow Books' for more places to visit this year.
Gardens
We meet monthly.
Visiting gardens was somewhat hampered by bad weather in 2007. However we did manage to get out to see some of the local gardens, and visit some shows and garden centres. We hope to get out more this year, and are looking forward to planning our trips when the 'yellow books' are available.
