The pattern of our meetings continues as before. We are reading a short novel depicting Welsh life under the Normans. One of our number has recently enjoyed a Welsh weekend at The Hill in Abergavvey, although an accident prevented another member from going.
Two of us enjoyed a talk in Welsh in Monmouth by a Welsh Television personality, and another member had an item about his Chess Exhibition featured on Welsh Television.
Again, anyone who has enough Welsh to join in is welcome to join us -
Welsh
We meet on Tuesdays at 2:30 pm.
This group has been meeting for some time and is now quite proficient, being able to talk and read stories in Welsh. They would love a couple of new members, but they would need to be fairly conversant with the language so as not to be lost.
